Product Overview
This is a beginner project that shows all movements in making a Kongo Gumi Kumihimo braid;
Materials required for the project shown:
- 80 Swarovski 4mm bicones (40 of each of 2 colors)
- 160 long magatama beads (40 of each of 4 colors)
- Size 8 seed beads in 2 colors
- 8 Strands of S-Lon Cord – each approximately 26”
- 2 – 11mm bead caps
- Toggle Clasp
- Jump Rings
- 10 – 2” Headpins
- Coordinating Swarovski crystals for optional dangles
- 2 pieces of 20g wire – each approximately 4” long
Tools required to complete project:
- Foam Kumihimo Disk
- GatorWeightTM Lite (or other counter weight)
- Silicone Bobbins or other method of holding beads on strands
- Round nose pliers
- Chain nose pliers
- Wire cutter
- Glue – if necessary (Options include Super Glue, GS Hypo Cement, Fray Check, etc.)
- Big Eye Needle (optional)
